COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland football followers can get a close-up glimpse of the team on Saturday, Aug. 20 when the Terps hold Fan Appreciation Day in Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.

Terrapin fans can view that day's practice, which will be held from 8:15 to 10:30 a.m., and gather autographs from players who will be available immediately after the session.

Fans who wish to attend the event may park in Lot 1 (click here for campus maps) and enter the stadium though Gate I (west side) which will open at 8 a.m.

Players will be available for autographs after practice along the rails at the bottom of sections 23-26 (in front of Tyser Tower).

Season-ticket holders will be able to pick up their gift at the tables just inside Gate I.

Fans will also have an opportunity to select seats in the stadium for the 2011 season. Members of the Maryland Athletics Ticket office will be stationed at Gate I. Season tickets for this year's seven-game home slate start as low as $130. Click here to purchase season or single-game tickets.

The Terps opened preseason practice Tuesday, Aug. 9. They begin the 2011 regular season at home vs. Miami on Monday, Sept. 5.
