COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's soccer team dropped its final exhibition match to Georgetown, 1-0, Saturday night at Ludwig Field.
The Terps, who utilized the majority of their bench in the final tune-up before the season opener next Friday, outshot Georgetown 12-9 in the match.
The lone score of the game came via a header from Tommy Muller following a free kick from Jimmy Nealis in the 34th minute.
Patrick Mullins had three shots to lead the Maryland offense.
The Terps face St. John's in the ACC/BIG EAST Challenge next Friday at 8 p.m. in Germantown at the Maryland SoccerPlex in the squad's 2011 season kickoff. Maryland returns to College Park next Sunday to take on West Virginia in the home opener.
