Maryland had a number of former players in action during the first two weeks of NFL preseason games, with several making significant contributions. There are now 35 former Terps on NFL rosters, the third most in the ACC (trailing Miami and Florida State.
Below are short preseason summaries for each of the former Maryland players.
Lance Ball ∙ RB ∙ Denver Broncos
4th year running back totaled eight carries for 15 yards and one catch for 12 yards against Dallas on August 12 ... rushed seven times for 20 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards against Buffalo on Aust 20 ... currently third on the Broncos depth chart at running back.
Travis Baltz ∙ P ∙ Indianapolis Colts
Rookie punted twice for 84 yards against Rams on August 13 ... punted four times for 193 yards (48.3 avg.) with a long of 57 yards against the Redskins on August 19 ... battling with incumbent Pat McAfee for Colts punting job.
Kevin Barnes ∙ CB ∙ Washington Redskins
Had strong preseason debut against Steelers totaling team-high five tackles on August 12 ... also had a sack and a pass deflection ... recorded one tackle against the Colts on August 19.
Bruce Campbell ∙ OG ∙ Oakland Raiders
Played first preseason game against San Francisco on August 20 after practicing for first time on August 13 ... currently listed as third on the Raiders depth chart at RG.
Nolan Carroll ∙ CB ∙ Miami Dolphins
Second-year player is second on Dolphins in tackles with seven through two preseason games ... had four total tackles (two solo, two assisted) in 2011 Miami debut on August 12 against Atlanta ... recorded three more tackles against Carolina on August 19 in the second preseason game ... currently second on the depth chart at cornerback for Miami.

Six year Veteran saw action at long snapper against Arizona on August 11 and San Francisco on August 20 ... listed as first on the Raiders depth chart at long snapper.
