GREENSBORO, N.C. -
Patrick Mullins has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week after tallying two goals against No. 8 Boston College last Friday.
Mullins led Maryland to its first 5-0 start since 2004 with his first career two-goal outing in a 4-0 rout of the Eagles.
Mullins, a sophomore forward, netted the second and third goals in the Terps' victory over BC. The New Orleans, La., product, who has made a seemingly effortless transition from the midfield to forward in 2011, is tied for the team lead in goals with five and also paces the unit with 11 points. Mullins was named to both the College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer National Teams of the Week.
Kyle Renfro of Virginia Tech joined Mullins as this week's honorees.
No. 1 Maryland travels to UMBC Tuesday before welcoming NC State Friday night.
