COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland completed its physical preparation for the season opener with a 90-minute workout Saturday at the on-campus practice facility.
Just meetings and walk-throughs remain before the Terrapins face Miami at 8 p.m. Monday from Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium for the Labor Day Showdown.
"I'm really looking forward to Monday night and so are the kids," first-year head coach Randy Edsall said Saturday to reporters on a conference call.
The team will hold walk-throughs Sunday and Monday at the stadium, with meetings scheduled over the course of both days.
Scout Team Players of the Week: Each Thursday during the season Edsall will announce the scout team players of the week. This week's scout team players of the week are wide receiver Tyrek Cheeseboro (offense), defensive lineman Alvin Thomas (defense) and linebacker Ray Lynn (special teams).
Injury Report vs. Miami: DL Justin Anderson, OL Justin Gilbert, OL Stephen Grommer and TE Dave Stinebaugh are out; WR Adrian Coxson is doubtful; RB Rahsaan Moore is probable. In addition, Edsall announced earlier in the week that RB D.J. Adams and OL Cody Blue will not play vs. the Hurricanes due to a team issue.
