PANAMA CITY - Former Maryland standout Graham Zusi scored his first international goal to lead the U.S. men's national team past Panama 1-0 on Wednesday night in Panama City.
Zusi, a midfielder with MLS's Sporting Kansas City, made his national debut last weekend. His goal came via a Teal Bunbury assist from seven yards.
Former Terp defender A.J. Delagarza played 90 minutes to help the Americans post the shutout. Delagarza and fellow 2008 national champion Omar Gonzalez guided the L.A. Galaxy to the MLS title in 2011. Gonzalez is currently rehabbing a knee injury.
