PALO ALTO, Calif. -
A plethora of Terps, both former and current, are competing for their native countries this weekend in preparation for the 2013 FIL World Cup.
Stars & Stripes is the first major competitive event for the 38-player 2012-14 U.S. women's national team as it begins the march toward the 2013 FIL World Cup in Oshawa, Ontario.
The U.S. women's national team will square off against Australia in the first matchup between the world's top two teams since 2009, when Team USA defeated Australia 8-7 to capture the gold medal at the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic.
Team USA will also take on Team Canada and collegiate programs Cal and Stanford in weekend play, in addition to holding several training sessions.
