
Maryland Welcomes American Wednesday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's basketball team welcome cross-town opponent American to Comcast Center Wednesday for a 4 p.m. matchup.

Maryland (2-1) and American (0-2) last met on Dec. 4, 2011 in Washington, D.C. The Terrapins won 76-42, and were led by Alyssa Thomas with 17 points. Brene Moseley, Laurin Mincy, Anjale Barrett and Lynetta Kizer also notched double figures.
The Terrapins were edged by Saint Joseph's, 50-49 Sunday in Philadelphia. The Terps took numerous shots down the stretch, but could overcome the one-point hump.
After Wednesday's matchup, Maryland will take on No. 15 Nebraska (3-0) Wednesday, Nov. 28 in Lincoln, Neb. as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The game will be shown live on the Big Ten Network and online.
