EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Shyheim Brown finished second and Shane Arechiga placed third at 141 pounds at the East Stroudsburg Open Saturday held on the campus of East Stroudsburg University. A total of nine Terrapin wrestlers participated in the tournament.

Brown, a freshman from Harrisburg, Pa., went 5-1 with three victories by fall. Brown opened the tournament with pins of Lycoming's Ross Orler and American's Matthew Crockett. Brown advanced to the semifinals with two victories by decision. In the semifinal, Brown pinned Ken Theobald of Rutgers 1:29 into the match.

Arechiga, a sophomore from Silver Spring, Md., also opened the event with two consecutive pins defeating Lycoming's Christian Felstedt in 47 seconds and Wilkes' Griffin Panicucci in 4:58. The sophomore dropped to the wrestleback after sustaining an injury in his semifinal match.

In the wrestleback, Arechiga knocked off fellow Terp Derrick Evanovich to reach the third-place match, where he defeated Ken Theobald of Rutgers, 3-2.
