  • The seventh-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will hit the road to play at Virginia Thursday at 7 p.m. in John Paul Jones Arena. The Terps (21-4, 8-4 ACC) are looking to get back to their winning ways after narrowly falling to No. 6 Miami, 76-74, Sunday afternoon in College Park. The Cavaliers (18-8, 6-6) have won their last two straight.

  • Maryland beat Virginia 68-61 on Jan. 16 in College Park behind 20 points from sophomore guard Laurin Mincy and 10 points from senior center Lynetta Kizer. Eight Terrapins scored in the win.

  • Thursday's matchup will mark the 77th meeting between the Terps and the Cavaliers. Virginia owns the all-time series, 43-33.

  • Sophomore Alyssa Thomas is leading the ACC in scoring with her 17.0 points per game in all games and 18.0 points per contest in league games. Tianna Hawkins leads the league in rebounding with 9.4 boards per ACC game and is No. 1 in the country with her field goal percentage of .633. Anjale Barrett leads the league in assist/turnover ratio (2.0).

  • Hawkins was named ACC Player of the Week Monday and USBWA National Player of the Week Tuesday. She shot over 72 percent from the field in three games and averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds. She scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds against No. 22 Georgia Tech. In a narrow 76-74 loss to No. 8 Miami, she notched her 10th double-double of the season.

  • Based off Monday's NCAA statistics, the Terrapins' rebounding margin of +13.6 is fourth in the country to Liberty's +15.6, California's +14.6, and Baylor's +14.5. They are also in the top 10 in the country in scoring offense (2), FG percentage (4), assists (6) and scoring margin (9).

  • After Thursday's game, the Terrapins return home to play host to No. 5 Duke (21-3, 11-0) Sunday at 3 p.m. in Comcast Center. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.
