COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland men's soccer team put together its finest comeback of the spring with a 4-2 win against St. John's Sunday at Ludwig Field.
After the Red Storm took an early 2-0 lead, Maryland stormed back with four unanswered goals to capture the victory.
Alex Shinsky cut the Red Storm lead in half near the end of the first stanza with a follow-up goal from a Patrick Mullins shot.
In the second period, the Terrapin offense caught fire and gained momentum from a shutout half from goalkeeper Jordan Tatum.
Jake Pace tied the match with a header in the box from a cross from London Woodberry. Jordan Cyrus netted the eventual game-winner with a first volley off a rebound via a corner kick for a 3-2 lead.
Incoming rookie Tsubasa Emdoh capped Maryland's scoring with a nice combo play from fellow freshman Donovan Fraser and rising sophomore Mikias Eticha.
The Terps play two more spring contests - both at home - versus Delaware April 25 and on Maryland Day April 28 against Harrisburg City.
