Five Track Terps Earn Academic Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Zack Ray and Jon Hill, who next week will head to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, were among five University of Maryland student-athletes honored recently on the Academic All-ACC teams for the indoor track season.
Ray, a senior hurdler from Huntingtown, Md., earned his third selection to the team, while Hill, a junior high jumper from Walkersville, Md., was picked for the second time. They were joined on the men's team by sophomore middle-distance runner Kyle Graves.
Junior high jumper Lucile Cancre, from Lexington, Mass., and freshman runner Myah Hicks (Alexandria, Va.) were selected to the women's indoor track academic team.
Duke junior Curtis Beach was the men's scholar-athlete of the year for the indoor season, while Michelle Jenije of Florida State was the women's winner.
