ATLANTA - Senior Tianna Hawkins of the 10th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team was added to the State Farm Wade Watch List, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Monday.

Hawkins currently leads the ACC in scoring with 19.4 points per game and is No. 2 in rebounding with 10.0 boards per game. Teammate Alyssa Thomas was named to the Wade Watch list earlier in the season.

State Farm and the Wade Trophy Coalition present The State Farm Wade Trophy to the nation's most outstanding NCAA® Division I women's basketball player each year - one who not only excels athletically but also serves as a positive role model both on and off the court. The acclaimed Wade Watch list, from which The State Farm Wade Trophy recipient is chosen, consists of players selected on the basis of game and season statistics, leadership, character, effect on their team and overall playing ability.

The State Farm Wade Watch list will be trimmed to 12 finalists in mid-March. State Farm and the Wade Trophy Coalition will officially announce the State Farm Wade Trophy winner during the WBCA National Convention, held in conjunction with the NCAA® Women's Final Four® in New Orleans.

Last week, Hawkins was added to the Wooden Award's Midseason Top 20 List. She was voted to the All-ACC Preseason team this fall after making the All-ACC Second Team last year. Hawkins currently has 966 career rebounds, which puts her at No. 4 on Maryland's all-time list. Crystal Langhorne and Marissa Coleman are the only Terrapins to reach the 1,000-rebound mark.

Hawkins and Thomas combined for 50 points Sunday to lead Maryland (18-3, 9-1 ACC) to an 85-62 romp of Boston College at Comcast Center. Alicia DeVaughn, Katie Rutan also hit double figures.

Next, the Terrapins will hit the road for back-to-back games in North Carolina next weekend. They will play Wake Forest (10-12, 3-7) Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Winston-Salem. The Terps-Demon Deacons game will be shown live on RSN, which includes Comcast SportsNet Plus locally, Fox Sports South, FS Florida, ESPN3.com, the Watch ESPN app and more.
