The Terps
Maryland finished 14th in the Classic in 2012, shooting a 905 as a team (+65). The Terps will look to build on a successful fall, where they held an 889.0 54-hole scoring average and shot a team-best 880 at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate.
The Terps are led by junior Sean Bosdosh, who ranks 2nd overall in scoring average in the ACC. The Clarksburg, Md. native posted a 71.29 average through 14 rounds last fall, and had two back-to-back tournament victories (VCU Shootout & Firestone Invitational).
Bosdosh is on pace to top his previous season scoring average of 73.60 set during the 2011-2012 season. Freshman Tom Harris has been a welcome addition to the Maryland squad, ending the fall season with two top-10 finishes and a 74.14 average.
Fellow freshman Andrew McCain also looks to make an impact, coming off a fall season where he averaged 76.15 through 13 rounds. Maryland also will look to get solid contributions from sophomores Ben Warnquist and Jordan Sweet. Warnquist had his best finish of the fall at the Firestone Invitational tied for 22, while shooting a 77.82 average through 11 rounds. Sweet averaged a 76.91 during the fall, and shot a low-18 score of 72 in his final round of the fall season at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate.
