Rupp On Singletary: "Elliot is our most refined infielder, as far as fielding ability. He's got very quick feet, and he knows how to play the infield. He got sick with pneumonia, and lost about 20 pounds last year. But he's at full health now, and he's switch-hitting, which will give our lineup a different look. He could also see time at any position in the infield at any time. We're looking for Elliot to have a big year this year, both offensively and defensively."
As a Junior (2004): Battled illness throughout the season after being diagnosed with pneumonia early in the year ... tied for the team-lead with 18 walks ... had four straight multi-hit performances and six in eight games (2/20-3/14), raising his average to a season-high .382 after a March 14 game versus Hartford ... had each of his three home runs on the season and scored eight runs over that span ... was 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored at Florida State (3/21) ... was 1-for-2 with a double, three walks and an RBI in a road win over Delaware (3/31) ... had RBI in four consecutive games from April 25 through May 4, including an efficient effort at Wake Forest in which he walked, scored a run and drove in another on a sacrifice fly (4/25).
At North Ft. Myers: Earned all-conference and all-state honors three times ... played in the FACA
