Terps On Team USA
Since its inception in 1967, the U.S. Men's National Team has featured 19 former Terrapin players and three Maryland coaches.

Goalie Brian "Doc" Dougherty and defender Joe Cinosky helped Team USA win a gold medal at the 2010 ILF World Championships in Manchester, England. Doc made 15 saves in the 12-10 victory over Canada in the gold medal game. Dougherty was also a member of the 1998 squad that also won the gold medal.

Joe Walters, was named to the 2006 team while still in college at Maryland.

The Terps have also had 14 players on the U.S.'s U-19 teams, dating back to 1988. Charlie Raffa was a big part in Team USA's 10-8 victory over Canada to win the gold medal at the 2012 FIL World Championships in Turku, Finland, winning 10 faceoffs in the finals. Former Terps Max Schmidt and Ryan Young helped the U.S. win the gold medal at the 2008 ILF World Championships. Young totaled 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists in the tournament.
