Terp Greats: Attack
From Ivan Marty, Joseph Burger and Ralph Heidelbach in 1923 to Joe Cummings' All-America campaign in 2012, the Universirty of Maryland men's lacrosse program has a long and storied history of great attackmen.

From pinpoint passers like Ray Altman, who dished out a school-record 146 assists in just three seasons, to sharp-shooters like Joe Walters, who is the school's all-time leading goal-scorer with 153, Terrapin attackmen have been terrorizing opposing defenses from all angles since Maryland first fielded an official team in 1924.

Overall, Terrapin attackmen have earned 34 first team All-America honors and eight have received the Jack Turnbull Memorial Award, which is given annually to the nation's most outstanding attackman.
