On Melzer: Expected to see most extensive playing time of his career as a senior short-stick defensive midfielder, along with fellow senior Drew Virk ... battled through a hip flexor injury during preseason camp ... drew valuable playing time as a sophomore and junior with hard work ... has good size and strength ... one of five Terps from the state of Connecticut.
