2002 Update:

  • Back-up goalie to junior starter Danny McCormick.
  • Drew action at UMBC (5/4), playing final 1:13 of 19-9 win.
  • Made first four saves in final 4:45 at Bucknell (3/12).
  • Made collegiate debut vs. Mount St. Mary's (2/26).

    On Rzepkowski: Joins the team to add depth at the goalie position behind Dan McCormick and T.C. Behm … a hard working player … comes to College Park after going to school at Mount St. Mary's.

    Before Maryland: Attended Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Md. for the 1999-2000 school year … was a member of the lacrosse team as a back-up goalie but did not play for coach Tom Gravante.

    Before College: Lettered in lacrosse at Mount St. Joseph's High School in Baltimore, Md. for coach Tony Brockmeyer … named team MVP in 1997 … served as team captain as a senior in 1999 … played for the Anne Arundel Summer All-Stars in 1997 and 1998.

    Personal: Matthew Ryan Rzepkowski … born Sept. 9, 1981 in Annapolis, Md. … son of Linda and Tim Rzepkowski … brother of Rachel and Chris … involved in student government and peer education in high school … was in the National Honor Society … majoring in marketing.
