As a Sophomore (2004): Competed in five races for the Terps... posted his season-best finish (11th) at the Mount St. Mary's Duals and season-best 8k time (26:29.6) the following week at the JMU Invitational... finished 68th overall at the home ACC Championship meet.
As a Freshman (2003): Competed in four races as a freshman... posted a season-best time of 26:55.08 at the Maryland Invitational on Oct. 11... finished in 19th place at Mount Invitational on Sept. 13.
Before Maryland: Lettered four times in cross country at C. Milton Wright High School in Bel Air, Md... named to All-County and All-Metro teams of the year... earned state championship honors... chosen as Cross Country Runner of the Year... member of French Honor Society.
Personal: Patrick Michael Bailey... March 10, 1985... son of Kathy and Kevin Bailey... has one brother, Daniel, and one sister, Sarah... will likely run against high school teammates Will Murdock (Salisbury) and Aaron Smith (UMBC)... enjoys music, video games and movies... chose to attend Maryland for the cross country and track teams and the strong academics... majoring in letters and sciences.
