As a Junior: Competed in seven of the Terps' 11 duals during the regular season … entered the starting lineup on Jan. 28 after Paul Fitzmaurice had a season-ending back injury … compiled a 4-13 overall record … won his first two matches of the year in the East Stroudsburg Open … defeated a pair of Ivy Leaguers as he decisioned Schott Smider of Harvard, 8-3, in the opening round and topped Joe Rybacki from Princeton, 3-2, in the following match … won his first collegiate dual against Dan Schutte of American with a 4-0 shutout … the win clinched the 27-18 upset for Maryland, which handed American its first home loss in seven dual meets … appeared in his first ACC Tournament.
