As a Sophomore (2003): Ran in three meets during the 2003 campaign... posted a season-best time of 21:58.29 at the Maryland Invitational on Oct. 11... also competed in the Mount Invitational and Maryland State Championships.
As a Freshman (2002): Posted season-best time at the Maryland Invitational...also competed in the Navy Invitational and Maryland State Championships.
Before Maryland: Attended Glenelg High School in Glenelg, Md., where she ran three years of varsity cross country, indoor track and outdoor track...in cross country, she won four Scholar Athlete Awards...awarded Spirit Award and Coaches Awards...was in Who's Who of American High School Athletes...in indoor track, served as captain her senior year and won the Courage Award...was part of the state championship team as a freshman...part of state champion 4X800 meter relay team as a senior...in outdoor track, served as captain for two years and was a member of the state championship team as a senior...4X800 meter relay team won state championships twice...participated in Students Helping Other People, Student Sharing Coalition, National Honor Society and Religious Education Mentor.
