Men's Soccer Travels to New York for Matchups Against Adelphi and Hofstra
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's soccer team, the
1996 Atlantic Coast Conference champions, begins its 1997 season on the road
with matchups against Adelphi and Hofstra.
The Terps, who recorded a 14-6-3 record last year, meet Adelphi on Friday,
August 29 at 4 p.m., and then have a day off before meeting Hofstra at 1 p.m. on
Sunday, August 31. Adelphi posted an 8-9-1 record last season while the Flying
Dutchmen of Hofstra were 10-5-4 overall.
The Terps open their '97 home campaign on September 5 and 7 when they host
the Diadora/3 Brothers Tournament. They host Santa Clara at 7 p.m. on Friday,
and return on Sunday to meet Howard at 2:30. All home games are played at
Ludwig Field.
