Maryland's Cullen Selected Collegiate MVP by Soccer America

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Senior defender Leo Cullen (Burnsville, Minn.) was selected as one of Soccer America's 11 Collegiate MVP's as announced by the publication.
Cullen, a four-year starter for the Terps on defense, led the Terps to a school-record 16 wins this past season, and was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year. The two-time First-Team All-ACC selection was also a finalist for both the Hermann Trophy and the Missouri Athletic Club award in 1997. He also was a top finalist last year for both awards.
Cullen joins the likes of NCAA Tournament MVP Matt Reis of UCLA, Ben Olsen of Virginia and Seth George of UCLA who scored both goals to lead the Bruins past Virginia in the NCAA Championship game.
