Maryland's Road to the College Cup

NCAA Championship
			Title Terps! Men's Soccer Claims NCAA Title Marc Burch scored in the 31st minute and the goal stood up the rest of the way as the Maryland Terrapins claimed the 2005 NCAA championship, 1-0, Sunday afternoon over New Mexico. The Terps claimed their first national championship since 1968.

NCAA Semifinals
			Terps Top SMU 4-1; Advance To NCAA Finals Maryland went ahead late in the first half and then blew the game open with three goals in just over two minutes in the second half to defeat SMU, 4-1, Friday night at SAS Soccer Complex in Cary, N.C. The Terrapins advance to the national championship game against either Clemson or New Mexico. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN2.

NCAA Quarterfinals
			Cary On! Terps Advance To College Cup On PKs The Maryland Terrapins advanced to their fourth-straight College Cup after advancing on penalty kicks over Akron Saturday afternoon in front of 4,129 fans at Ludwig Field. The top-seeded Terps played the Zips to a 1-1 tie before winning 4-1 in PKs. Maryland will now face Southern Methodist in the national semifinals in Cary, N.C. The Mustangs were 3-2 winners over North Carolina on Saturday.

NCAA Third Round
			No. 1 Maryland Downs St. John's, 3-1 Stephen King scored two goals and Marc Burch added two assists as the Maryland Terrapins downed St. John's, 3-1, in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Goalkeeper Chris Seitz matched his career high with six saves as the Terps advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals next week against Akron.

NCAA Second Round
			No. 1 Maryland Advances With 1-0 Win Over Brown Senior Marc Burch's goal in the 26th minute of play was all the Terrapins would need as they held off Brown, 1-0, Tuesday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Ludwig Field. With the win, the Terrapins advance to face St. John's, who was a 1-0 winner over Dartmouth, this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

NCAA First Round
			Maryland Received a First-round Bye.
