1997 (WMC): Second team All-Centennial Conference at Western Maryland ... named offensive MVP ... guided the Green Terror to their first undefeated (10-0) regular season since 1929, and their first conference title since 1963 ... team lost to national runner-up Lycoming in the first round of the NCAA playoffs ... was WMC's first NCAA playoff game in history though DeFreitas did not play because of injury ... finished junior season with 955 yards on 225 carries, a 4.2-yard average and nine touchdowns ... longest carry was 38 yards ... led WMC with 29 receptions for 313 yards ... averaged 10.8 yards per catch with one touchdown ... had four 100-yard games including a 27-carry, 141-yard effort to help clinch the league title vs. Johns Hopkins ... best rushing game was 152 yards and two TDs on 32 carries at Gettysburg ... career receiving high of six catches for 104 yards at Dickinson ... coached by Tim Keating.
