High School: A four-year letterwinner and 1998 graduate of North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, Md. … passed for over 1,300 yards and ran for over 450 as a senior … team captain that year who earned status as Area Player of the Year (Hagerstown Herald-Mail) and Washington County Offensive Player of the Year … also gained all-league and all-county recognition … also competed in track … had the 15th-best time in the nation in '98 in the 55-meter high hurdles (7.3 seconds) … high school coach was his father, Glenn Cross.
