Hicks, Sinkovitz Compete in 800m at Regionals

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Myah Hicks and Julie Sinkovitz represented the University of Maryland in the 800m at the 2013 NCAA East Regionals Thursday.
Hicks finished fourth in her heat (2:07.54) and took 28th overall. Sinkovitz captured fifth in her heat with a time of 2:08.48. That mark registered 35th overall at the meet.
The Terps return to action with four events remaining. Amber Melville, Thea LaFond, and Amina Smith will compete in the high jump. LaFond is slated for the triple jump. Chioma Onyekwere and Moriah Young will participate in the shot put and Young will wrap up the competition in the hammer throw.
