COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's basketball team will host its first-ever Field Trip Day for its season opener Nov. 14 vs. Mount St. Mary's. The Terrapins and Mountaineers will tip off the 2014-15 season at 11 a.m. at XFINITY Center.
The 2014 Final Four Terrapins will offer free admission to all preregistered elementary schools and classes.
This field trip will integrate pre-game classroom activities through an educational activity book with age appropriate lessons while familiarizing students with the Terrapins and the University of Maryland. The activity book will also prepare students to participate in the interactive and entertaining Maryland basketball environment. Teachers who register their classes will receive a free educational activity packet to complete with their students prior to the game.
Teachers can register their classes here. For more information on Field Trip Day, click here.
