Crognale, Eticha Named B1G Players of the Week

CHICAGO – Mikias Eticha and Alex Crognale earned Big Ten Conference Men's Soccer Co-Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, Monday.
Eticha, who earned his second weekly accolade from the Big Ten this season, scored both goals in the Terps' shutout win against Lehigh Wednesday night and provided the game-winning assist in a 2-1 victory at No. 5 Indiana Sunday afternoon.
Crognale was instrumental in Maryland's defensive success as of late. The sophomore defender helped guide the Terps to a 343-minute shutout streak, which was snapped with a 73rd minute goal by the Hoosiers. Crognale also helped out offensively, heading home the game-winner at Indiana for his first collegiate goal.
Maryland will play host to Santa Clara on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field its next time out.
