#10 Terps Host Goldey-Beacom in Exhibition

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's basketball team will host Goldey-Beacom Saturday at 7 p.m. in XFINITY Center for the first exhibition match of the year for the Terrapins.
Parking will be free in the lots surrounding XFINITY Center. There will be a men's basketball exhibition game vs. San Francisco State at 2 p.m.
General admission tickets are available for $1 for Saturday's contest. For ticket information for the 2014-15 season, log on to the Terrapin Ticket Office online at umterps.com or call 1-800-IM-A-TERP. Season tickets for the Final Four Terrapins are now on sale at $75 each.

The Terrapins are ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press preseason poll, released Friday. This is the fifth straight year the Terrapins have appeared in the preseason poll and third consecutive season they've started off in the top 10.
Maryland is coming off its second NCAA Final Four appearance under head coach Brenda Frese and fifth overall, defeating top-seeded Tennessee and winning at No. 3 Louisville along the way. The Terrapins went 28-7 on the year last season and return three of the team's top five scorers in sophomores Lexie Brown, Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
Goldey-Beacom went 15-15 in 2013-14 and advanced to the ECAC Division II Championship. The Terrapins beat the Lightning, 84-46, in a preseason exhibition in College Park on Nov. 5, 2012.
After Saturday's exhibition, the Terps will welcome the University of the District of Columbia on Nov. 8 for a 5 p.m. exhibition at the XFINITY Center. Maryland will officially open the 2014-15 season with an 11 a.m. game vs. Mount St. Mary's on Friday, Nov. 14 at XFINITY Center.
