BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Myah Hicks led the Maryland women's cross country team with a 59th place finish at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., Saturday.
Hicks covered Lehigh University's 6k course in a team of in 21:14 and finished well amongst a strong group of 330 athletes. Freshman Alexandra Lucki crossed the line second for the Terps, notching a time of 21:22 to place 68th overall.
Sydney Almeida was the next Maryland athlete to complete the course, finishing in 22:20. Hannah Mansbach and Emily VandeWater rounded out the Terps' top five, recording times of 22:23 and 22:28, respectively.
Catherine Sheffo and Alexa Squirini finished sixth and seventh, followed by Maeve McCoy, Charde' Barnes and Julia Reed. The team placed 26th overall in a tough field.
The Terps travel to Princeton on Oct. 18 to compete in the Princeton Invitational.
