
Lyon Runs Well at South American U23 Championships

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay. – Freshman Diego Lyon finished in third place in the 110m hurdles at the South American Under-23 Championships this weekend.
Representing his home country of Chile, Lyon notched a time of 13.98 in the final; his first time ever under 14 seconds hurdling 42-inch (college height) hurdles.
Lyon finished behind two Brazilians, Jonathas Flips Da Silva Brito and Eduardo Dos Santos, in the final.
Lyon will join a strong freshman class and group of transfers that will look to make an impact on the track for the Terps this season.
