COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Thanks to supporters, alumni and fans, the Maryland women's basketball team is enjoying a redesign of its office suite, which includes the women's basketball lobby, main hallway and coaches' offices.
The staff worked with the Advent Design Corporation of Nashville, Tenn. to create an atmosphere that celebrated the history and legacy of Maryland women's basketball and showcased the true meaning of the program.
"It felt like the time was right to do this,” head coach Brenda Frese said. “Coming off a Final Four, we wanted to make sure our office is current. These players did something special and earned their spots on our walls. We hadn't really done anything since the 2006 National Championship, so now we have a whole new vibe in our office. It looks sensational and we can't wait to have visitors come through so we can show it off.”
“I have to give all the credit to our staff for all the time they put into coming up with the best photos and themes that fit what our program is all about. Also a huge compliment to the folks at Advent that created all the artwork. We've developed a terrific working relationship with them."
Staff members and the designers at Advent began working on the project right after the 2013-14 season ended. Over the next few months, they poured over photos that encompassed what it truly means to be a member of the Maryland women's basketball family.
