Maryland Welcomes UDC for Exhibition Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's basketball team will the University of the District of Columbia Saturday at 5 p.m. in XFINITY Center for the final exhibition match of the year for the Terrapins.
Parking will be free in the lots surrounding XFINITY Center. There will be a men's basketball exhibition game vs. Bowie State at noon.
General admission tickets are available for $1 for Saturday's contest. For ticket information for the 2014-15 season, log on to the Terrapin Ticket Office online at umterps.com or call 1-800-IM-A-TERP. Season tickets for the Final Four Terrapins are now on sale at $75 each.

Maryland was picked to win the Big Ten this year – the Terps' first season in the league.
Maryland is coming off its second NCAA Final Four appearance under head coach Brenda Frese and fifth overall, defeating top-seeded Tennessee and winning at No. 3 Louisville along the way. The Terrapins went 28-7 on the year last season and return three of the team's top five scorers in sophomores Lexie Brown, Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
In last week's 103-43 exhibition win vs. Goldey-Beacom, Walker-Kimbrough led the Terrapins with 15 points and nine rebounds, Brown added 14 points, while Jones, A'Lexus Harrison and Kristen Confroy also hit double figures.
The Firebirds went 21-8 in the 2013-14 season. They won the ECC championship, then fell to Stonehill in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Maryland will officially open the 2014-15 season with an 11 a.m. game vs. Mount St. Mary's on Friday, Nov. 14 at XFINITY Center.
