
Hicks Honored with B1G Sportsmanship Award

ROSEMONT, Ill. – University of Maryland student-athlete Myah Hicks was one of 14 cross country competitors honored with a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, the conference announced this week.
Hicks was recently Maryland's top finisher at the Terps' inaugural Big Ten Championships in Iowa City. Hicks placed 88th overall in a time of 22:17.33.
The Alexandra, Va., native has been a stalwart at the top of the Terps' lineup throughout the season, placing 11th at the Princeton Invitational and leading Maryland at the Paul Short Invitational
The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These student-athletes must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The complete list of honorees can be found below.
