Head Coach Brenda Frese

On the game:

“I found some really good things to be able to see from our first exhibition game to this last one. I thought you were able to see us be a lot more aggressive, really confident and loved being able to see our positive assist to turnover ratio. We had six players in double figures and really that sparked us. After being in foul trouble in the first half, we were able to come out in the second half and be really aggressive and making that huge run. There were definitely some really good things for us to be able to build on."

On rebound improvement:

I think we were really quick to the ball. We lost a lot of our size when we were in foul trouble tonight, so we have to be able to adjust to that and I thought we were able to. When we took a hit with the rebound, it was using our ability to be able to be really aggressive defensively."

On six players in double-digits:

“I think this team really understands when somebody has a hot hand. We want to be aggressive in terms of being able to exploit a match up that we feel is going to be beneficial to us. This team does a really nice job of sharing the basketball. They look for each other really well.”

Sophomore Center Brionna Jones

On the team rebounding:

“We have to work harder in the post, everyone has to go in and rebound and we will get better at it throughout the season with hard work.”

On the team's offense:

“The guards found us when we were open. We moved the ball really well and worked together as a team really well tonight.”

Sophomore Guard Lexie Brown

On the team's performance:

“I'm really proud of everyone that stepped up when the starters got in foul trouble tonight. We saw a similar situation last season in the beginning of the year. This is what these games are for, they are for learning, but overall I thought there were a lot of good things that happened tonight.”

Junior Guard Brene Moseley

On the pressing defense:

“I think our athleticism is going to be something we can build upon, especially going into the regular season and Big Ten play."
