
Maryland-Northern Illinois Announce Two-Year Series

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland and Northern Illinois University have agreed to a two-year home-and-home football series beginning in 2020 the two schools announced Friday.
The Terps and Huskies will meet in College Park on Sept. 12, 2020. Maryland returns the favor the following season and travels to Huskie Stadium for a matchup on Sept. 25, 2021.
Maryland has won two of the three previous meetings against NIU with the most recent matchup coming in 2004. The Terps defeated the Huskies in College Park, 23-20. NIU has won the only meeting between the two teams in DeKalb. The Huskies defeated the Terps 20-13 in overtime in 2003.
