COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Back in 2008, the top-seeded Maryland women's basketball team found itself in a battle with eighth-seeded Nebraska in the NCAA Second Round in College Park. Marissa Coleman dominated the second half to lead the Terps to a 76-64 win and the Sweet Sixteen, en route to the Elite Eight.
Ashleigh Newman and Jade Perry got the Terps' energy going in the first half to take a 15-point lead. Nebraska battled back and the Terrapins led the Huskers 34-33 at halftime. Coleman responded to the head coach Brenda Frese's halftime talk and scored 19 points, including 15 in the second half. She finished with 19 total points, along with Kristi Toliver.
