
Terps in Second at Janney VCU Shootout

MANAKIN-SABOT, Va. - The Maryland men's golf team is currently in second out of 13 teams after the first two rounds of the Janney VCU Shootout in Manakin-Sabot, Va. Five Terrapins are in the top 25 of the 84-player tournament field.
Sophomore Victor Fox parred the first two rounds to finish even on the day with a score of 144 (72-72) and is tied for third. Freshman David Kocher is tied for seventh on the leaderboard and is one-over with a score of 145 (75-70).
Senior Connor Tendall is tied for 14th and is two-over so far with a 146 (74-72). Junior Tom Harris plus-four on the day with a 148 (74-74), which puts him tied for 19th. Senior Ben Warnquist is five-over and is tied for 25th with his score of 149 (74-75).
Senior Eric Urda, competing as an individual, finished with a 163 (82-81) on the day.
The Terrapins will tee off in the third and final round Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. Live stats will be available at http://www.golfstatresults.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=participants&tid=6014.
Maryland will compete against tournament-host VCU, George Mason, Francis Marion, Iowa State, Old Dominion, Richmond, UNC Greensboro, Virginia Tech, Radford, James Madison, Wichita State and Xavier.
The tournament will be played on the Manakin Course at the Hermitage Country Club, which is a par-72 course that covers 6,955 yards.
