COLLEGE PARK, Md. - In 2012, No. 10 Maryland traveled to No. 19 Nebraska for the Terps' first game of the year against a ranked team. The team left with a 90-71 win and were led by Alyssa Thomas and Tianna Hawkins.
The game stayed close through much of the first half, with the Huskers leading by four with fine minutes left in the half. The Terrapins fought through adversity with cramps and a short bench to cruise to a 90-71 win.
Thomas led the way with 25 points, eight assists and five rebounds, while Hawkins added 21 points and 12 rebounds. Laurin Mincy went 4-for-4 from outside the arc for 16 points.
