
Terps Complete Season at NCAA Regionals

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Alexandra Lucki notched the best finish of any Maryland runner in three seasons at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals at the West Windsor Fields Friday afternoon.
Lucki clocked 22:08 to finish 45th and lead the Terps to a 13th-place team finish, an improvement over last year's result. Senior Emily VandeWater ran a time of 22:19 to finish 57th.
Junior Sydney Almeida was the next Terp across the line in 22:52. Senior Catherine Sheffo's 23:14 also scored for the Terps while freshman Kiernan Keller notched a 23:20.
Alexa Squirini and Katie Nappi also competed for Maryland. Penn State took home the team regional title while Blanca Fernandez of Temple won the 6k race.
Maryland's athletes will now prepare for the indoor track and field season, which begins in January.
