Terps Host Annual Red vs. Black Meet Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland gymnastics team is in action for the first time this season as the Terrapins host the annual Red vs. Black intrasquad scrimmage Saturday. The meet will be held in the XFINITY Center Pavilion at 7:30 p.m.
"We're excited for fans to see the GymTerps in action for the first time this season," head coach Brett Nelligan said. "We have five great freshmen who will make their debuts, and the upperclassmen are ready to get back in action and kick off the season."
Admission for Red-Black is free, and fans will have their first opportunity to get Maryland's 2016 poster and schedule card. After the meet, the Terps will sign autographs in the Pavilion.
The Red team will consist of Kathy Tang, Dominiquea Trotter, Leah Slobodin, Megan McClelland, Alex Robinson, Rachel Gurnett, Abbie Epperson and Nicole Dragon. Sarah Faller, Emily Braukmuller, Evelyn Nee, Macey Roberts, Amanda Bertorello, Shynelle Agaran, Bailey Philbin and Alex Zimmermann will compete for the Black squad.
The Terps will be judged by student-athletes from other teams: Malina Howard and Chloe Pavlech (women's basketball); Linnea Gonzales and Kasey Tapman (field hockey); Caleb Brodie and Nick Brozowski (men's lacrosse); and Diamond Stone and Rasheed Sulaimon (men's basketball).
