
Fan Advisory for Saturday?s NCAA Tournament Games

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland has announced increased security measures for the NCAA Women's Basketball First and Second Rounds Saturday at the XFINITY Center. The Maryland women's basketball team (30-2) earned a top seed in the NCAA Tournament and will play New Mexico State (22-7) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Maryland will also welcome undefeated Princeton (30-0) and ninth-seeded Green Bay (28-4) to College Park, who will play at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Doors open at 10 a.m. Fans should expect additional security measures on Saturday. All persons and vehicles are subject to search upon entering both the parking lots and the XFINITY Center.
Gates B, D and F, along with parking lots 4B and 4J will be closed Saturday. Fans will be directed to park in lot 9B, 9C, 11B, 11C and the Terrapin Trail Garage.
Below is a list of items prohibited in XFINITY Center for Saturday's games:
- Large Bags (smaller purses okay)
- Sharp Objects
- Umbrellas
- Liquids
The winners of Saturday's games will advance to Monday's 6:30 p.m. Second Round contest in College Park as well. All three games will be shown on ESPN2.
Tickets for the First and Second Rounds in College Park start at $15 for a single-session general admission ticket to Saturday's games and go up to $30 for an all-session reserved seat. For more information or to purchase, log on to umterps.com.
