COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior Connor Tendall of the Maryland men's golf team finished his strong showing in the third round to take seventh in Ohio State's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Sunday.
Tendall went one-over with a 72 in Sunday's final round. He finished with a combined score of 214 (72-68-71) to go one-over on the weekend and finished tied for seventh to lead Maryland.
"Unfortunately, this was not our best weekend," head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "We're in the hunt for an NCAA Regionals bid and we need to get our starters all playing at a high level in the same weekend. We've been working on that and will continue to. We have two more events, so hopefully we can string a few good rounds together and finish this season off on a high note."
Freshman Joe Brooks shot a 76 Sunday and finished tied for 37th with a 224 (72-76-76). Freshman David Kocher ended up 13-over on the weekend with a 226 (73-75-78) and sophomore Victor Fox shot a 229 (76-78-75). Junior Tom Harris shot a 230 (77-77-76) overall.
Next, the Terrapins will compete in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate in Raleigh, N.C. next Saturday and Sunday.
