In weeks two and three of Major League Lacrosse play, an abundant of Maryland men's lacrosse alumni contributed to their respective squads.
Jeremy Sieverts was a driving force behind the Denver Outlaws, 14-13, win over the Ohio Machine, tallying a hat trick along with one groundball.
Drew Snider did just about everything for the Outlaws posting one goal, three assists and three groundballs, while Max Schmidt also scooped up a groundball in the win.
On the wrong end of the April 19 tilt was a trio of former Terrapins. Brian Farrell notched his first goal of the season while adding his second assist in as many games. Dan Groot secured two groundballs, while Brian Phipps registered 13 saves in the net.
In another one-goal affair, the Charlotte Hounds took down the Boston Cannons, 12-11. John Haus led the Hounds to victory with a team-high three scores. Maryland long-poles were all over the field as Michael Ehrhardt and Brett Schmidt each tallied four groundballs and the eight-year MLL veteran Joe Cinosky picked up two.
Attackman Ryan Young dished out one assist for the Cannons.
The Chesapeake Bayhawks and Florida Launch played back-to-back games with the Bayhawks winning both, 12-8 and 15-11.
In the pair of games, Jeff Reynolds notched two goals and five groundballs for the Bayhawks, as Dan Burns picked up six groundballs in that span.
Florida native Jesse Bernhardt, playing against his hometown team, tallied a goal to go along with three groundballs.
