COLLEGE PARK, Md– Student-athletes, coaches and teams were honored Tuesday for prowess in academics, community service and athletics at the fourth annual Terp Awards, co-sponsored by the Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund and the `M' Club, held at the Dekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on campus.
Here is a look at the major awards given out throughout the evening:

• Voted 2014 Lou Groza Award winner for nation's most outstanding kicker
• Big Ten Kicker of the Year, AP Second Team All‐American, First Team All‐Big Ten
• Set Maryland single‐season record for FG percentage (18‐19, .947)
• Hit school‐record 57‐yard field goal against Ohio State
• Made 24 straight field goals, and 11 FG's from 40+ yards

• As of 4/15: leads the team in assists, points, ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers
• Named a 2015 Tewaaraton Award finalist and a preseason All-American
• Spring 2014: Named the IWLCA National Midfielder of the Year and the youngest female Tewaaraton winner; also a IWLCA First Team All-American for the second straight season, NCAA Championship Most Valuable Player

• Led the Terps in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game and ranking in the top five in the conference• His 207 made free throws rank third all-time in single-season Terrapin annals• Trimble was a first team All-Big Ten selection and a USBWA Freshman All-American.

• Five-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week

• Turgeon – who was named Big Ten Coach of the Year in the Terps' inaugural season in the league – led the Terps to a 28-7 overall record• Maryland recorded a school-record 26 wins during the regular season and made an impressive 11-game improvement in the win column from a year ago – the second-highest improvement in the country• NABC District 7 Co-Coach of the Year (Bo Ryan, Wisconsin)

• Named Big Ten Coach of the Year and WBCA Regional Coach of the Year
• Terrapins finished 34-3 overall and reached second straight NCAA Women's Final Four
• Claimed Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, going 21-0 against Big Ten opponents
• 397-134 in 16 seasons overall; 340-104 in 13 seasons at Maryland

• Finished the 2015 regular season with a 17-1 overall record

• Spring 2014: Won the program's 12th National Championship, sixth straight ACC Championship
• Spring 2014: Went 23-1 overall; featured six IWLCA All-Americans, the IWLCA National Midfielder, Defender and Coach of the Year, youngest female Tewaaraton winner in history

President's Cup
Highlighting the academic awards were the presentation of the President's Cup Team GPA Awards to men's golf and women's cross country, which each won for the third straight season. University President Wallace Loh presented the awards.
