
Walker-Kimbrough Set for Pan Am Games in Toronto

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Junior guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough of the Maryland women's basketball team is set to compete with USA Basketball in the Pan American Games beginning Thursday with a match against Brazil at 9 p.m. ET.
This is the first appearance with USA Basketball for Walker-Kimbrough, an All-Big Ten First Team honoree this year. After Thursday's match, Team USA will play the Dominican Republic Friday at 9 p.m. ET and Puerto Rico at 9 p.m. ET Saturday. Semifinals and Finals will be played Sunday and Monday. All of Team USA's games will be shown online on ESPN3.com and parts of the matches will be featured in ESPN2's “whip around” coverage. Live stats will be available at Toronto2015.org.

All-Big Ten center Brionna Jones won the gold medal with USA Basketball in the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea Monday.
Jones and the WUG Team went 6-0 in the tournament and beat Canada, 82-64, Monday in the Gold Medal match. Jones added four points, two assists and two steals in the final. In her first experience with USA Basketball, Jones averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds with five steals in the six-game tournament.
Including Jones and Walker-Kimbrough 10 Terrapins have played for their respective national teams under two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year Brenda Frese, eight on U.S. national squads.
