• After the game, Walker-Kimbrough talked to the media:
On the game:
"It was a great win. It wasn't pretty, but we got out and we won. Now, it's on to the next one, Brazil or Canada."
Was the team nervous when you went down by 12 points?
"I was a little nervous. We came out a little flat. We had a quick turn around (from last night), but we couldn't use it as an excuse. They played just as many games as we did. I thought we did a good job coming together and pushing through."
On the USA's press:
"One of the key quotes in basketball is, 'Defense wins games.' I think that is what really got us going, is our defense. I think the press played a very big part in that."
On Cuba:
"I know it didn't end how they wanted it to, but I thought they represented their country very well. It was not an easy game at all."

I had to find something to impact the game, and today it was hitting shots. It worked out well, and we got a good win."
On the game:
"You could tell that they definitely wanted to win as bad as we did. They have the same goal as us. They are going to do whatever they can to win and represent the country on the front of their jersey as well as possible."

• After the game, Jones spoke to the media:
On the differences between the CZE game and the first two games:
"I think we all brought a bunch more energy today than maybe we did in the past two games. We came out strong, and that boosted our energy for the rest of the game."
On the defensive effort:
"Getting stops on defense is a big aspect of what will help us moving forward. If we put more stops together, we're able to prevent teams from scoring. Everybody on this team is an amazing player, so we know we can score. The focus is mainly on getting stops."
On winning the group:
"It's a great feeling to be 3-0 playing against these great players. It's going to give us a great boost as we move into the rest of the tournament."
