COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Former Maryland men's lacrosse players Jeff Reynolds, Drew Snider and Joe Walters have been named to the 23-man roster for the 2015 U.S. Men's Indoor National Team as announced by US Lacrosse Wednesday.
Team USA begins action at the FIL World Indoor Championships on Friday, September 18, against the Iroquois, as it looks to improve upon its bronze medal finish in each of the last three championships in 2011, 2007 and 2003.
One of the most decorated players in Maryland lacrosse history, Walters (2003-06) was a four-time all-american and remains the program's all-time leader in goals (153). He currently plays professionally for the Rochester Knighthawks (NLL) and Chesapeake Bayhawks (MLL).
Snider was recently named to the 2015 All-MLL Team after a spectacular season with the Denver Outlaws (MLL). Reynolds, a 2008 all-american at Maryland, plays for the Chesapeake Bayhawks (MLL).
“After an intense, competitive camp weekend, the Team USA coaching staff is very excited about the roster that will represent the United States in Syracuse,” said head coach Tony Resch. “We have a balance of veterans and newcomers, and we look forward to continuing our preparations for the 2015 World Games in the coming weeks. We recognize the great challenge we have in front of us, and embrace that challenge. The players, coaches, and staff will do everything within our power to represent the United States with class and courage, on and off the floor.”
